Laura is a captivating and insightful speaker. At the 2014 Reston B2G Trade Show, she participated on a panel discussing integrated business management systems as a way to assist project managers. Her input gave real awareness to the audience of where the software industry was going detailing the benefits for PM professionals and executive leadership. But it was her engaging personality that won over the room! I witnessed her share her knowledge with the audience through wit and clarity of subject, she naturally engages the audience in a way few can while presenting her information in a sensible manner that the room retains and continues to discuss after the session has ended."

How to build an effective and sustainable PMO? How to make a big change in your organization with a high probability of success? How to make the impossible possible with volunteers? These questions point to the challenges that Laura Barnard has encountered and to the fact she is uniquely equipped to help you or your organization address and resolve similar challenges with her proven strategies and tools that are enriched with lessons learned from years of experience interacting with senior leadership peers. I have had the great opportunity to recruit Laura as a speaker for the PMI Montgomery County Chapter symposium and dinner meeting, as well as the 2015 NIH-NCI Project Management Seminar Series. Her talks are engaging and enlightening, and what I further value in particular is her willingness to answer questions up to the very last person in waiting. She is a highly knowledgeable, insightful, and enthusiastic speaker. I undoubtedly recommend Laura as a speaker and adviser for all things PMO!

PMI Programs (Symposiums and Dinner Meetings)
Laura Barnard has spoken for a many PMI PDU generating events in the Washington DC region over the years. While I was the VP of Programs, Laura presented the topic “Building Blocks of an Effective and Sustainable PMO” at our PM Tools Workshop. The member feedback we received on this event was among the highest for speakers in 2015 and the written comments included quotes such as “Laura was Brilliant”, “Have Laura present all of these. This is the best ever!” From my perspective as a speaker coordinator, working with Laura was an example of flawless execution. She managed the event, worked closely with our team to ensure the event delivered the right content, handled the audience professionally, and responded to member questions with authority and clarity. I would highly recommend Laura for any group’s speaking event.
